ADVANCED ORAL SURGERY WITH A FOCUS ON YOUR COMFORT

Dr. Haitham Ennabi and his team offer a comprehensive range of oral surgery procedures at their Hopewell Junction, NY and Pawling, NY offices, including root canal therapy, dental implant placement, and tooth extractions. At Quality Dental Care we use advanced technology to perform efficient and highly effective procedures. Your dentist will carefully plan your treatment in advance to reduce discomfort and recovery time. In addition, he will provide follow-ups and guidance throughout the healing process. In this way, he can ensure your safety and optimal results.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy, or endodontic treatment, is a standard treatment for dental infection. If you suffer from a toothache, chronic bad breath, or internal discoloration of a tooth, among other symptoms, you may require root canal therapy. Dr. Ennabi or one of our other practitioners will take x-rays to determine whether this treatment is right for you.

With our comprehensive approach, your entire treatment will occur in one convenient location.

To perform root canal therapy, your dentist will first numb your tooth. Then, using gentle methods, he will create an access point on the biting surface and clean inside your tooth and root canals. In this way, he will eliminate damaged, inflamed tissue and bacteria. Once this step is complete he will fill your tooth with a soft rubber-like material and place a temporary restoration. Lab technicians will use impressions of your tooth to create a customized dental crown which will be placed during a second appointment.

Root canal therapy can often save even severely damaged teeth. In nearly every case, it is preferable to the extraction of a natural tooth.

Dental Implant Placement

If you are missing teeth, dental implant-supported restorations are the most durable and realistic treatment option. At Quality Dental Care, we proudly perform both the surgical placement and restoration of implants. With our comprehensive approach, your entire treatment will occur in one easy location. Before placing implants in the jaw, of course, your dentist will need to determine your candidacy for treatment. Implants may be appropriate if you are missing one, several, or even all of your teeth. At the same time, you must have a strong, healthy jawbone, and overall good physical health.

To perform the most accurate procedure possible, your dentist will take x-rays and scans of your jaw. Then he can use the images to place your implants in the densest and healthiest parts of your jawbone. To position the implants, he will first numb your gums and jaw. Then he will create incisions in your soft tissue, through which he can insert the tiny metal posts. When he is finished, your practitioner will close up your gums with small sutures or a temporary restoration will be placed. It will usually take four to six months for your jaw to heal. When it does, your dentist will attach your permanent restoration to the top of the implants.

Extractions and Wisdom Tooth Removal

Our team performs all types of dental extractions. In some cases, we may recommend extraction because you have a severely damaged tooth that is beyond repair. In these cases, your dentist will create a comprehensive treatment plan that includes an appropriate restorative option. In other cases, you or your teen may require wisdom tooth extraction. Most people do not have enough room for these third molars. As they come in, they can cause severe crowding and other health issues. In some cases, a wisdom tooth can become impacted. This occurs when the tooth is not able to erupt all the way, which can cause misalignment of surrounding teeth and infection.

Before your extraction, your dentist will numb your tooth and gums. If you require a simple extraction, he will simply loosen the tooth before gently lifting it from the socket. In the case of an impacted tooth, he will need to remove the top layers of tissue to access the tooth below. In some cases, he may need to remove the tooth in several pieces, particularly if it is coming in at an angle. However, with our gentle techniques, even these more complex procedures will involve minimal discomfort.
